Server control options will soon be included in a single menu in the lower right corner (a shield icon with a padlock) on the Google Meet window instead of scattered in multiple locations. According to Google, this change makes it easier for users to manage their meeting settings and avoid having to switch between menus.
Meanwhile, the Leave empty calls feature will display a notification asking whether the user wants to stay or leave the call if there are no participants within 5 minutes. If after 2 minutes the user does not respond, it is automatically removed from the call. Google Meet is also having some major issues with video calls. Currently, the company is quickly fixing that, interested readers can refer to the link below to understand better.
- Besides Google Meet, Zoom and Microsoft Teams are also applications to support online learning and meetings used by many people. You can download and install these apps here to use and participate in your online meetings or classes:
By default, the feature will be enabled, but users can disable/disable this feature by going to Settings = > General .

Finally, these features will roll out to the Meet apps for PC and iOS in the coming weeks, and will be “coming soon” to the Android app.
